Elizabeth McClaren (a member of the Portland chapter) is pleased to announce her Children's picture book, Growing Up on an Island and The Tale of My Red Beach Ball, will be released on the 25th of November; Published on Amazon and will be available in Hardcover. Visit Lizzy's website www.Lizzysbooks.com to pick-up a copy in print or eBook. In this adventurous island tale, Lizzy is celebrating her 5th birthday at the beach when the mischievous Northeasterly Wind hears of Lizzy's birthday and decides to pay a visit. When the wind arrives, he takes Lizzy's red beach ball for a whirl, which lands the beach ball in unruly waves off the island's coast. Lizzy's Mom swims out to rescue the ball and gets caught in a current heading out to sea. Lizzy is left to find a way to save her mom and her red beach ball. Recommended for children ages 3+

Lizzy read to the students at South Meadows Middle School her book,The Tale of My Red Beach Ball; afterwards the students made Lizzy's Red Beach Ball come alive by adding eyes to see, nose to smell and a mouth to gobble up all your goodies.
